Stream1 at IBC 2024: Our search for the best solutions for livestream and broadcasting

At Stream1, we always focus on innovation in livestream and broadcasting. That’s why we travelled to IBC 2024 in Amsterdam this year to test the latest technologies and products. We had exciting discussions with leading manufacturers such as YoloLiv, Kiloview, Univiso and OBSBOT. In our videos, we show you the latest developments that we discovered at the trade fair and provide insights into our own test series.

1. YoloLiv: New dimensions with the Yolobox Extreme

In conversation with Frank from YoloLiv, we learnt about the further development of the popular Yolobox Ultra – the Yolobox Extreme. With even more inputs, dual HDMI outputs and an impressive 11-inch OLED display, this solution takes live streaming to a new level. The battery power and integration of the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU also make the Yolobox Extreme a very powerful solution for demanding broadcasters.

2. Kiloview: 5G bonding encoders and NDI solutions for maximum flexibility

With Kiloview, we were able to test the latest 5G bonding encoders, which make it possible to merge up to six connections (4x 5G, 1x WiFi, 1x Ethernet). We tested the P3 bonding encoder model in a 10-hour live stream on the motorway – at speeds of up to 150 km/h! The result? Perfect transmission with no dropouts. This technology from Kiloview not only offers high flexibility, but also seamless NDI integration and robust streaming quality.

3. Univiso: UV600 in the endurance test

During our trip to the IBC, we put the Univiso UV600 through its paces. With the combination of Starlink and six SIM cards, we were able to transmit our signal stably under real-life conditions. The UV600 showed excellent results in our test with low latency and outstanding image quality. For us, Univiso is a strong partner when it comes to professional broadcasting solutions

4. OBSBOT: AI-controlled cameras for professional applications

OBSBOT also impressed us with its innovative products. Their AI-supported cameras, such as the Tail Air and the compact Talent Video Switcher, offer smart solutions for video recordings and live streams. With AI tracking, gesture control and the ability to stream directly from the camera, OBSBOT is a real game changer for content creators and broadcasters looking for intuitive and powerful tools.
