Livestream Jahresrückblick 2022

Staff meeting, cooking show and hybrid trade fair stand: a review of the year

We said goodbye to 2022 with bangs and trumpets, 2023 is just around the corner. What could be more fitting than a melancholy look back at the past twelve months? Well, we don’t have time for that, so a quick run-through: January consisted mainly of meetings and how the year 2022 can be even more successful according to our boss Martin Prankl (small spoiler: we did it 😉 ). After a good dose of motivation, we got down to work, streaming at the Sparkassen Kulmbach and Oberland or driving to Tegernsee for the stream of the local council meeting. After a five-day stream for TÜV Süd in mid-February, we went to the 5-star Hotel Bayerischer Hof in Munich in the same week. No, not for recreation and wellness, but to interview Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz. We were at the Munich Security Conference and there with our Livestream Studio part of the live broadcasts from the conference.

After fibre optics in the office, there was no stopping the Stream1 team

After we got fast internet to the office at the end of February, there was no stopping our Stream1 team. From the Ministry of Social Affairs, we went on to the German Patent and Trade Mark Office for the five-day user forum. And because we love challenges, we had 3 different streams in one day at the end of March, for example. We used Easter as a breather. But the Easter Bunny had put several big orders in our nest. At the end of April, part of the Stream1 team drove from Munich to Berlin for a livestream. On the way there, there was a location check in Bayreuth. A Townhall meeting was followed by the next works meetings and citizens’ meetings. The merry month of May was kind to us, hardly a day went by without us either setting up, streaming or taking down.

Stream1 in the Champions League the livestream provider

There was hardly any respite for Stream1 over Whitsun either, Sono Motors needed us for a livestream. Afterwards, at an altitude of 1,318 metres, we went to the stream from the Untere Firstalm. Summer is dawning, the temperatures are rising, our operating temperature is still at full throttle. In July, we travelled from Mannheim to Frankfurt via Nuremberg. Short stopover at the Allianz Arena, where we arranged a stream for the State Office for the Environment. Stream1, promoted to the Champions League of streamers.

From the Security Conference to the Oktoberfest to Bauma: the holy trinity of Munich’s events calendar

In August, the Stream1 office was empty, most colleagues worked off their overtime and preferred to spend their holidays at the beach rather than at their desks. When all the batteries were charged, life came back to the Stream1 office. Because the annual Oktoberfest visit was on the agenda. Unfortunately, it was only for a short time, because after enjoying the beer, the livestream crew had to set up for a livestream. Duty calls! While we were still streaming on 40 channels simultaneously at an event for a major corporation at the end of September, things really took off in mid-October. 6 streams in 2 weeks. One of them was Bauma, the largest construction machinery trade fair in the world.

Bauma, corporate event at the Oktoberfest and the Munich Security Conference: we were present at all three, the holy trinity of Munich events, so to speak.

In Advent we streamed for LBS and Liebherr

One highlight followed the next. We also had the pleasure of working for Liebherr, the major global construction machinery company, this year and hosted a two-day livestream. The Advent season marked the beginning of a quiet, peaceful time, but Stream1 continued to go from strength to strength. A cooking show with a TV chef, a stream from our Livestream Studio for LBS and last but not least the Christmas party of the Goethe Institute Munich.

The conclusion: What a terrific year!

2022, what a year. But we are satisfied and happy. Of course, we also had staff shortages again and again thanks to Corona and other illnesses. Sometimes we would have liked more breaks between the individual livestreams. Doch 120 Livestreams, das muss man erstmal schaffen. This is only possible with a team that understands each other blindly. That we also drink a beer together after a stream.

We would like to thank all customers who have chosen Stream1. We say thank you for all new customers who are betting on Livestream for the first time. Thank you for cooperative collaboration and binding agreements. Thank you for your kind hospitality during livestreams.

We are excited to see what 2023 has in store for us. And even more, what new ideas our boss Martin Prankl has again. Meanwhile, we gathered around our Christmas tree, sang holy night and gave ourselves the greatest gift: HOLIDAY!
