Haus und Grund Jahresversammlung Livestream

Small but nice: high-quality livestreams on a small scale

It doesn’t always have to be the big stage, elegant gowns and sparkling champagne. Smaller events also have their charm. After all, not every association, authority or individual has the manpower and the necessary small change to organise a grandiose event.

But even if the event, award ceremony or conference takes place on a small scale, you don’t necessarily have to do without a livestream. With a smaller setup, for example just a camera, a Livestream Producer and a preview monitor, it is possible to produce equally high-quality livestreams.

In the following, we present four variants, each with only one Stream1 technician on site to produce the livestream.

Church 2.0: ND Congress in Augsburg tries to find answers to urgent questions

The Catholic Church is at a crossroads, the number of people leaving the church is reaching record levels. The Christian network ND – Christsein.heute aims to offer Christians a network for dialogue through social and church-political discussion events, workshops and spiritual offerings. The Munich regional association organises a congress for this purpose every year, this year under the motto “Power.Money.Church”. Our Livestream Producer Carsten streamed three seminars live on site on the Youtube channel of ND – Christsein heute.

Since only the seminars were streamed, we adapted our setup and services accordingly:

  • Camera technology: Sony Optics Cinema FS7 MK II
  • Video mixer: Video Regie (vMix)
  • Encoder: Mine Media Q8 4G Live Bonding Encoder
  • Bonding Router: Mine Media M4 Mini – 4G Internet Bonding Modem
  • Stage monitor
  • Location check in advance
  • Setting up the live stream on YouTube
  • Design and creation of belly bands, start/breaks/end screen in the client’s corporate design
  • Connection of a speaker

Annual meeting of the Haus- und Grundbesitzerverein München and surrounding area

38,000 members, 22 lawyers, 980 legal consultations per week: the Haus- und Grundbesitzerverein München und Umgebung is the largest association in the state capital. Once a year, the association invites all members to the annual general meeting, traditionally at the Löwenbräukeller. Since not all members can be there, the association makes video recordings of the most important lectures available online on its own website. These films were recorded by Andi, our Livestream Producer from Stream1, using state-of-the-art PTZ cameras. On top of that, Andi created belly bands, start/breaks/end screen in the corporate design of the Haus- und Grundbesitzerverein. For a stable internet connection on site, the Livestream Producer relied on an internet bonding modem, the M4 Mini from Mine Media.

Online symposium of the CA Academy

Not far from Munich, more precisely in Etterschlag on Lake Wörth, lies the CA Academy. Since Corona, the specialist for further education in business administration has been offering live online seminars as well as face-to-face seminars. Accordingly, Michael from the Stream1 team streamed a symposium. The channel for the live streaming was the German Stream1 server, which we configured for up to 3,000 viewers. Michael conducted a technical check with all the speakers beforehand via Microsoft Teams to ensure that everything worked smoothly on the day of the event. In addition, he was also responsible for schedule management and coordination, including sending out the MS Teams links for the CA Academy’s online symposium.

Lessons from the pandemic: 16th For..Net Symposium live from TUM Munich

Interesting lectures, exciting discussion rounds and a digital gala evening with a musical supporting programme: once a year, the Research Center for IT Law and Network Policy (For..Net), based at the University of Passau, invites you to its conference. Since 2019, the symposium has been supported by the Bavarian Research Institute for Digital Transformation as co-organiser. The venue for the 16th symposium was the Technical University of Munich under the patronage of the Bavarian State Minister for Digital Affairs, Judith Gerlach MdL. Stream1 acted as project manager and technical contact for the symposium. Livestream producer Carsten was on site for two days to support the student assistants from the University of Munich with the livestream. In the run-up to the event, Carsten developed the schedule together with bidt and For..Net.

Are you planning a symposium, an award ceremony or an online symposium and would like a livestream to accompany it? Please feel free to contact us without obligation at 0049 89 41 41 453 10 or send us an email to hello@stream1.eu.
