Remote Livestream Production: Adobe Live for Business

Creativity, inspiration and technical knowledge – that’s what Adobe Live for Business is all about. In this format, viewers are provided with valuable skills for complex requirements and inspiration for their day-to-day work in a monthly livestream.
For the first episodes, the presenters themselves were responsible for the technical support. Sounds quite stressful… So that they can now concentrate fully on the guests, we took care of the transmission of the remote livestream for the second time.

Interconnection of all speakers in the livestream

In the 24th episode of Adobe Live for Business, Visa and Digital Pixelpark revealed how they produce compelling adverts, even during the coronavirus pandemic.
In order to enable an exciting conversation despite the distance, we connected the 4 speakers and moderator Anton Knoblach for a remote livestream via vMix.

Recurring livestream event: Adobe Live for Business

Recurring livestreams also require good preparation and technical experience. Adobe relied on a livestream professional from Munich for this. Our tasks for the remote livestream:

  • Customisation of intro, outro and graphics:
Colourful, modern and creative – Adobe provided us with templates for the intro, outro and graphics. These are a real eye-catcher and the visual recognition feature of the format. We adapted the templates to the theme of the 24th episode and the people invited.
  • Insert in overlays:
A livestream lives from interesting guests! And this time there were four of them. We inserted the remote speakers into overlays and enabled inspiring dialogues in different constellations.
  • Tech test with participants:
To ensure a smooth process, we conducted a technical test with the speakers via Microsoft Teams the week before. Does the microphone work? Is it possible to share the screen? All basic questions were clarified in the first meeting.
Another technical test took place half an hour before the start of the remote livestream. Here we checked, for example, whether the seating positions still fit the overlays.
  • Recording of the livestream:
Some things have been tried and tested for a long time. That’s why this livestream was also published on Adobe’s YouTube channel. In addition, we recorded the broadcast locally in high quality and made it available to the client. In this way, the highlights can be viewed again in particularly sharp focus.
  • Supervision of the remote livestream:
Go with the flow – from the start of the broadcast, there was no more script. Our experienced director oriented himself to the moderation in the next hour when fading in graphics and connecting the speakers.
  • Technical support:
Nothing makes you feel more uneasy than the possibility of sudden technical complications. What to do if the technology suddenly stops working? In order to eliminate this worry, we supported the livestream with experienced technicians who could intervene in an emergency. Another safeguard: bonding technology. This kept the risk of failure to a minimum right from the start.
