A training course on a complex subject with over 1,200 participants from three continents, can that work? TÜV SÜD can answer this question with a resounding yes, and this is the second time it has done so.
Once a year, there is training and exam preparation for all authorised TÜV SÜD examiners in the field of medical technology. This specialist area is highly complex, with numerous ISO and DIN standards ensuring consistently high quality in medical technology. For one week, lectures (Notified Body Training) were given to support the (prospective) TÜV SÜD examiners. Intra-industry news was also exchanged. We already supported the inspection body in this last year.
In-house training with Microsoft Teams Live Event
The TÜV SÜD livestream is not only an excellent example of an in-house training, but also one for a Microsoft Teams Live Event. The tool is designed for conferences, seminars and workshops with up to 20,000 participants and thus heralds a new era in live broadcasts. Varied programme with Q&A sessions
Let’s get back to the TÜV SÜD in-house training. The audience of over 500 per lecture received knowledge transfer at the highest level within five days. Whether “Vigilance handling within the NB and fees at MHS-CRT” or “Basic UDi-DI and sampling files”, in total there were over 40 training sessions for the audience from Europe, Asia and America. There were specially scheduled Q&A sessions for any questions that arose from the participants. The knowledge of the participants was tested.
Picture in Picture insertions
Due to the pandemic and travel restrictions, some of the speakers and participants could not be live on site in Munich. However, this was not a problem due to connections from Asia and America, and it was even possible to talk to the moderators on site. Many of the speakers used the Power Point programme for their presentations. We also faded in the slides live and without delay, sometimes even as picture-in-picture. But there was another technical finesse in the implementation of the feeds. Some of the speakers gave their presentations as a duo. One person was live on site in the mobile Livestream Studio Munich, while the second partner was “only” connected. Our livestream technicians ensured smooth transitions and direct communication between the two speakers during the change of presentation.
Mobil Livestream-Studio at TÜV SÜD
A big advantage at Stream1: we are extremely flexible. And that applies not only to our livestream professionals, but also to our technology. So we set up a mobile livestream studio at the TÜV SÜD office in Munich Westend. With 3 Sony PTZ cameras, our three livestream experts filmed the speakers on site and prepared the picture perfectly for the Microsoft Teams Live Session. For optimal lighting, we used lamps from Jinbei.
