Stream1 Bauma München Livestream Hybrider Messestand

Hybrid trade fair stand with worldwide streams: Stream1 at Bauma

Bauma: This is the Munich trade fair for superlatives. The world’s leading trade fair for construction machinery, building material machines, mining machines, construction vehicles and construction equipment attracted around 495,000 visitors from over 200 countries to the Riem Exhibition Center for seven days.

Hybrid exhibition stand from Hünnebeck

Hünnebeck, the expert for formwork, scaffolding and safety technology, also had a stand at Bauma. Several exhibits on display, numerous friendly employees and delicious treats – the booth was top-notch. But to reach customers who could not come to Munich, Hünnebeck set up a hybrid booth. And so Stream1 also became part of Bauma.

Collaboration of Face2FaceCom and Stream1

But from the very beginning: Hünnebeck worked with its partner, the Düsseldorf-based agency Face2FaceCom, on the design and concept creation. For the various livestreams directly from the hybrid booth, the Düsseldorf agency turned to Stream1. Working closely together, we created a technical concept for the live shows.

From Chile to France to Puerto Rico: Worldwide streams from the hybrid booth

Public viewing atmosphere at Hünnebeck: Events are held at international locations from which a live link to the trade fair stand is provided. In some stores were displayed exactly the same Bauma exhibits. This allows business partners and potential customers anywhere in the world to be involved in discussions and demonstrations. The customers directly try out the exhibit and ask questions about it right away. We streamed live from Bauma to the following countries/regions: Germany, Chile, Middle East, Austria, Costa Rica, France, Luxembourg, UK, Ireland, Poland, Romania, Guatemala, Italy and Puerto Rico.

Five different camera perspectives for the trade fair exhibits

So how do you stream in detail from a trade fair stand directly to the local branches? For a live show to run smoothly, it needs good and detailed preparation. So, together with Face2FaceCom and Hünnebck, we determined which exhibits should be shown from which camera perspective. We had a wide choice: 3 PTZ cameras were permanently installed on the truss cage above the stand at a height of several meters. With an FS7 camera on the second level of the booth, we had another camera for an overview of the booth. Last but not least, there was a mobile cameraman who filmed the exhibits in detail. Thanks to the 5 different camera perspectives, all spectators got a good overview of Hünnebeck’s hybrid booth.

15 livestreams in five days and 13 different speakers

For a livestream, however, you not only need different camera perspectives, but also a moderator who guides you through the show. In Hünnebeck’s case, Petra Bindl moderated the total of 15 livestreams. The likeable Munich native was supported by Hünnebeck representatives from the respective countries, who guided through the tour in their national languages. For example, two colleagues from Latin America explained the individual exhibits such as Rasto, Manto or Interkep to their customers on site.

15 livestreams in five days with five camera perspectives and 13 different speakers was not a daily routine for Stream1 either. For us, the live event was also an event of superlatives. Counting rehearsals and setup, our livestream technicians were on site at Bauma for seven days.

Customer Hünnebeck received great feedback from its subsidiaries about its hybrid booth at Bauma. Overall, the cooperation with both Hünnebeck and Face2FaceCom was always very pleasant and constructive. Therefore, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the great seven days.
