While each livestream is unique, the basics of our control room are always the same. We once photographed our set-up of a members meeting from the perspective behind the control room. There were several speakers in front of the cameras talking about their area of expertise. The platform for the livestream was Microsoft Teams.
Clearly visible in the foreground is the Allen & Heath sound mixing console. Our sound engineer Carsten can use it to mix a total of 48 sound channels into a coherent overall picture. We definitely recommend the sound mixer, especially if there are several sound sources, for example because several speakers are talking at the same time. To the left is the Lilliput monitor, on which you can see the vMix control room program. All camera images, all sound sources and other feeds such as a presentation are controlled by our livestream director. The laptop at the end of the table is necessary for the feeds via Microsoft Teams. An LTE cube and a bonding router have found a place on the monitor. With these two devices, we ensure uninterrupted internet for livestreams. Somewhat in the background, but essential for any livestream, are three remote PTZ cameras. The cameras can be controlled remotely from a camera operator, no extra cameraman is needed for each camera. At the left edge of the picture there are still the directional antennas from Sennheisser. They amplify the frequency signal of the headset microphones.
