Yippee! We are elephant-sized happy: Our great livestream for RadioGong 96.3 from Munich’s Hellabrunn Zoo has been nominated for the Bavarian Digital Award 2021.
With just two days’ notice, we streamed the first virtual live tour from Munich Zoo. Tens of thousands of children and families watched the stream on YouTube and on the radio station’s website.

How did it come about? Little Mattis from Neuhausen contacted the radio station Gong 96.3. The 8-year-old regularly visits the zoo with his grandfather and loves the many different animals. But the zoo was closed due to the lockdown. Mattis was therefore very sad. But then Mattis found out about the weekly program campaign “It’s not the weekend until…”, in which the morning show presenters are only “allowed” to start the weekend after they have mastered a challenge. Will they somehow manage to get little Mattis into the zoo after all? Of course, with Stream1 🙂
