Virtual Oktoberfest for Die Bayerische
You want to organize an event, but the corona measures do not allow a normal face-to-face event? Then a hybrid event is your solution: via livestream.
The best way to do this is illustrated by the example of the insurance company Die Bayerische. Every year, it celebrates with its partners at the Oktoberfest. There’s no party because of Corona – or is there? We livestreamed the Oktoberfest party with live music and guests on site to employees all over Germany. Of course, a hybrid event is also ideal for conferences or training courses.
In cooperation with servicepro, we streamed an internal Oktoberfest for invited sales partners from the “Sechzger Alm” on the training grounds of TSV 1860 Munich – Bayerische is the main sponsor of the “Lions”.
Live music, presenters in traditional Bavarian costume and competition
Of course: Bavarian food is as much a part of the Wiesn as beer. The participants on site in the Alm were therefore served Bavarian veal sausages, while the participants “dahoam” were provided with wheat beer and pretzels. The “Alpenstürmer” were responsible for creating the right Oktoberfest atmosphere. Their folk music spread a good mood and a likeable presenter in a dirndl led the guests through the program. It was almost like being at a real Oktoberfest. Of course, there was also a fun competition to round off the successful Bavarian Oktoberfest party with the sales partners.
Pan-tilt-zoom camera technology for every perspective
It is no easy task to broadcast an event like the “Oktoberfest” worldwide as an online event. But for us as a livestream agency, such requests are part of our everyday work. Our suitably skilled employees ensured the transmission in the usual Stream1 streaming quality. As a full-service livestream provider, we were responsible for the camera, lighting, sound and the entire transmission technology. We used several pan-tilt-zoom cameras, these so-called PTZ cameras can be panned and controlled remotely. The remote control option allows us to keep personnel costs low because one camera operator can control several cameras at the same time. We equipped the speakers and the presenter with microphones and also transmitted the hits of the “Alpenstürmer” to the Internet in top sound quality.
