“She’s like the wind” – the classic song by Patrick Swayze from Dirty Dancing is probably familiar to all cineastes. And it’s also quite windy in our snapshot. The solution: as a sustainable alternative to heating in winter, we use the warm air from our server room for the offices. To test whether this plan works, we once laid the pipe across the Stream1 office in December 2022. Carsten is standing in the wind tunnel and enjoying the “fresh breeze”, while Melissa and Martin are probably smiling at the swirling hair.
The result: cool servers in winter, a little warmth in the office and not too high costs for heating. Works!
