The illuminated Christmas tree on Munich’s Marienplatz sparkles through the windows as the members of the staff council of Stadtsparkasse München step in front of the cameras in their digital information event. More than 700 watching employees follow the broadcast in their offices or mobile from home.
From Marienplatz to the home office
As moderator, the chairwoman of the youth and trainee representation of the savings bank led through the evening. The purpose of the event: the employees of the Stadtsparkasse receive important information and can ask questions to the staff councillors or the chairman of the board. A few days before, we had already put Sparkasse employees on film to make short informative videos about employee benefits for the event, such as the job ticket. Such so-called “insert films” liven up digital events and convey important information in an appealing way.
This year, the event took place digitally instead of in person. That’s why only the speakers were gathered in the Press Club opposite Munich City Hall.
Direct communication with staff thanks to integrated chat
The employees’ questions were received directly in the integrated chat tool on our Stadtsparkasse event website: On the situation in the sales units, on working hours, on holiday homes or on the future strategic orientation. The questions were passed on from the chat directly to the moderator and answered by the board or staff council. Questions that did not make it into the 90-minute programme due to time constraints were answered afterwards on the intranet and published.
The meeting of the youth and trainee representatives had already taken place beforehand, where representatives of the Sparkasse answered the trainees’ questions. We also accompanied this event as a livestream service provider. We would like to thank the Stadtsparkasse München for the great cooperation.
Our livestream technology for the Stadtsparkasse
For us as a livestream agency, not only a smooth technical process is important, but also an aesthetically pleasing overall picture. We therefore bathed the background in subtle red with red wireless high-performance spotlights. A total of six headset microphones and one handheld microphone were used. For varied perspectives and high image quality, we used three so-called PTZ cameras, which we could control remotely from our control desk. This also reduced the number of staff required, which is an important criterion for many clients, especially in Corona times.
