Deutsch-Finnische Gesellschaft Livestream

Anniversary celebration in the livestream spotlight

Friends have something in common – in this case, an interest in Finland. The German-Finnish Society, DFG for short, unites friends of Finland – and has been doing so for 70 years! To mark the occasion, they are planning a public livestream on YouTube.

What the German-Finnish Society stands for

But who is the DFG? The German-Finnish Society has been operating as a nationwide information network since 1952. Its philosophy: to strengthen and deepen the friendly relationship between Germany and Finland. With almost 8,000 members, the society is one of the largest German-Finnish friendship societies.

Even the events often take place across the borders. For example, the “Sauna Water Marathon”. Here, pure Finnish infusion water is transported in a sauna bucket. And this from Tampere in the south of Finland to Stuttgart for the international sauna congress! How does the sauna water get from north to south? By ship, train, car, horse, bicycle or simply on foot. The bucket should not only be transported from A to B, but the whole thing should be linked to an event in each case.

The celebration takes place in Munich

The anniversary takes us back to the origins: to the founding location – the “Schelling Salon” in Munich. From there, the livestream will be transmitted to all interested parties.

The Federal Chairwoman as moderator will take turns entertaining the German-Finnish hearts with several guests. But what excites the viewers most are certainly the videos between the speeches. They make for a cheerful spectacle. They include Finnish dance music and similar music videos.

In addition, the videos deal with the club’s history and a prognosis for the future. It quickly becomes clear that the club’s upcoming anniversaries must also be celebrated.

The right light for the anniversary

For a professional livestream result of the anniversary, the German-Finnish Society relied on Stream1. Our team of technicians equipped the clubhouse with the necessary equipment. This included, for example, three PTZ cameras and LED panels for good lighting of the speakers.

For all those who missed the festivities (or want to relive them), the recording is available on YouTube:
